ENGLAND - Police warn of crackdown at Warwickshire bikers' bash

BIKERS heading to a controversial Midlands festival have been warned that police are determined to crackdown on any trouble among rival gangs.
The Bulldog Bash takes place this weekend at Long Marston airfield near Stratford-upon-Avon and around 40,000 revellers are expected to attend the event, described as the UK’s biggest bikers’ party.
Londoner Gerry Tobin, 35, was shot dead following the 2007 event in a gang-related incident and Warwickshire police officers are determined there will not be a similar atrocity this weekend.
Assistant Chief Constable Neil Brunton said: “The vast majority of people attending Bulldog Bash are decent law-abiding motorcyclists or music fans.
“This year’s policing operation is proportionate to the overall threat assessment and will remain flexible to deter criminal activity and intelligence-led to target those intent on causing harm,” added the police chief.
